🎃 Neighborhood Halloween Decorations Contest – Official Rules

1. Eligibility

  • Open to all residents of Valley Park Forest.

  • Participants must decorate the exterior of their homes (yard, porch, windows, etc.).

  • Decorations must be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.

2. Entry Period

  • Entries will be accepted from September 29th through October 10th.

  • To enter, submit your name, address, and a photo of your decorated home using the online form.

3. Voting Period

  • Voting will be held from October 10th through October 28th.

  • Each resident may vote online one time at on this website.

  • One vote per person. Duplicate votes will be disqualified.

4. Judging Criteria

  • Entries will be judged based on:

    • Creativity

    • Spookiness

    • Originality

    • Overall visual impact

5. Winner Announcement

  • The winner will be announced on October 30th via our neighborhood website, and Social Media. Winners will be contacted directly for acceptance.

  • Prizes for the top two houses will be a $## Gift Card and a yard sign to display through the month of November.

6. General Conditions

  • By entering, participants agree to allow photos of their decorations to be shared publicly. Any winner chosen agrees to have their name and a picture of their house share online via the neighborhood website and our social media channels.

  • The contest organizers, The VPF Association, reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the rules or are deemed inappropriate. The contest may be cancelled or suspended at any time at the sole discretion of the organizers.

  • In the event that advertised prize is unavailable, the contest organizers reserve the right to substitute the prize for something of equal or greater value. Prizes awarded hold no cash value.

  • All decisions are final.
